Backend Team Lead (Air)

We are looking for a Backend Team Lead for our Air Product Team.

The Air team develops a project creating functionality for booking air tickets. Integrating with a large number of suppliers we enable the user to choose from many different offers, among which everybody can find an appropriate option. This is a relatively new but strategically important and steadily growing business line in our company.

Job Responsibilities

managing a two-person team of developers and taking part in the hiring of another backend developer;
developing services, above all in Golang and partially in Python (the Core service for quick search for tickets, Supply for integration with suppliers, and Admin for managing the search settings);
integration with external suppliers via APIs;
unit and integration tests for code;
planning the work pipeline taking into account code tech debt, optimization and refactoring;
mentoring and developing the competences of your staff, playing an active role in code review.

Key Qualifications

professional experience in the role of team lead or tech lead;
experience of developing web services in Golang of at least 4 years;
experience of developing in Python on Django;
confident knowledge of PostgreSQL, an ability to write raw SQL requests and optimize them;
experience of profiling code and services;
an understanding of git flow and experience applying it;
an ability to pack your service in Docker and docker-compose.
desirable experience of working with NoSQL bases (Aerospike);
a love of metrics (Statsd, InfluxDB, Grafana) will be an advantage;
advisable knowledge of queues (Kafka, Nats);
preferable experience of using an error monitoring tool (Sentry);
some knowledge of GDS or IATA NDC (Sirena, Amadeus, Sabre, S7 NDC etc.) will be useful.
