Python Developer (Extranet)
We are seeking a Python developer for the Extranet team.
By connecting to Ostrovok through Extranet, hotels get access to individual travelers, travel agents and corporate clients. In Extranet a hotelier can directly manage the availability of their property, rates, room categories, and special offers. Today, over 76,000 hotels are connected to the system directly, and this number is constantly growing.
Job Responsibilities
to develop solutions for storing the hotel database and availability;
to optimize the search for hotels and their availability;
to design structures for databases and the system’s architecture.
You also have the opportunity to get expertise in:
optimizing database queries: from SQL all the way to architectural redesign.
Key Qualifications
have experience in commercial development on Python3 in combination with Django of at least 3 years;
have experience writing and supporting web services, and designing APIs;
know well SQL (PostgreSQL), to know how to create and optimize SQL queries without using ORM if required;
write correct, comprehensible and supportable code, as well as to know how to profile it;
know how to and strive to cover the code in automated tests;
to be ready to optimize and improve the code base;
have experience working with Docker, and to know how to write and optimize dockerfiles.
Desirable:
experience of working with gitlab-CI.
