Product Manager (Hotels Editing and Incidents)

Vacation begins with “O”, and any booking on Ostrovok.ru begins with the property card. We are currently looking for a Product Manager who will be responsible for the quality of content on these cards. The main task of the product manager and their team is to ensure that the property card contains all the information important for making a booking. To do this, data from external suppliers and from our Extranet is pulled into the card.

The product manager will analyze errors associated with inaccuracies on facility cards and propose solutions to minimize them, both automated and with the involvement of a team of editors.

A little about the Object Card:

  • the facility cards are handled by the team that is responsible for conversion and for resolving incidents related to inaccuracies in everything that is on the facility page;

  • the basis for the content on the facility card will be data from 200+ external suppliers, as well as from our Extranet;

  • the team develops facility cards for both B2C and B2B users;

  • our team includes backend and frontend developers, an analyst, an ML specialist and a large team of editors.

Job Responsibilities

  • be responsible for the increase and decrease in the number of incidents and their consequences;
  • look for ways to optimize manual editing to reduce costs;
  • interact with the editors team: set and prioritize tasks, monitor deadlines and quality of task completion;
  • set editing tasks taking into account business needs and market trends;
  • participate in the creation and development of tools for rapid monitoring and error analysis;
  • come up with ways to reduce the number of errors on the product - both manual and automatic;
  • be in close contact with operational teams, study their pain points and convey them to the product;
  • study the competitor market, look for best practices for further implementation in our product.

Key Qualifications

  • you have at least 1 year of experience as a product manager;

  • you have skills in working with analytics: you can independently obtain data from a database using SQL, build a hierarchy of metrics, and base your decisions on data;

  • you know how to manage projects and interact with development;

  • you understand how to work with a backlog;

  • you are empathetic and able to find a common language with both stakeholders and teams of engineers and editors.
