Job responsibilities
• Provide expert legal advice on matters of international and EU law related to online travel services, digital platforms, e-commerce, data protection, and consumer rights.• Lead and manage a team of in-house legal professionals (2-3 people) and coordinate with external legal counsel across multiple jurisdictions.
• Supervise and support the development of junior and mid-level legal staff to ensure high standards of legal service delivery.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of complex international contracts and commercial agreements, including partnerships, B2B/B2C terms, licensing, and technology agreements.
• Advise on compliance with regulatory requirements across different regions, particularly within the EU, LATAM, MENA, and other relevant markets.
• Contribute to corporate structuring, international expansion, and strategic transactions, ensuring compliance with cross-border legal considerations.
• Monitor changes in international laws and industry regulations, providing proactive legal insight and risk management strategies.
• Lead or support dispute resolution processes, including pre-litigation strategy, arbitration, and cross-border litigation where necessary.
• Ensure the company’s operations are aligned with global legal standards, including but not limited to GDPR, ePrivacy, consumer protection laws, and online platform regulations.
Key qualifications
• Law degree from a reputable university; an LLM in international or EU law is an advantage.• 7+ years of post-qualification experience, with a strong focus on international commercial law and digital services.
• Proven experience managing legal teams or leading cross-functional legal initiatives.
• In-depth knowledge of EU law and international regulatory frameworks affecting digital platforms and travel services.
• Familiarity with the legal landscape for online platforms, or e-commerce businesses.
• Fluent in English.
• Strong negotiation and contract drafting skills with a practical, business-focused approach.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and international business environment.
