Who we need
We are looking for a Senior Python Developer to join the Intranet team, which develops key internal services for company employees and related HR products. This is where all актуal information about employees, organizational structure, and processes impacting team life and growth is centralized.
Current priority areas include developing a matrix team system, implementing goal-setting frameworks, automating integrations with external services, and enhancing the performance review system.
Job responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize the backend of complex web applications using Python/Django (Intranet, Internal merch shop, career portals)
- Design system architecture and choose optimal solutions for business needs and scalability
- Write and optimize database queries (PostgreSQL)
- Integrate with external services and APIs
- Configure and maintain task queues (RQ, Celery) and caching (Redis)
- Apply best testing practices and ensure code quality and reliability (unit and integration tests)
- Participate in CI/CD processes and collaborate with DevOps engineers on deployment and monitoring
- Work effectively within an Agile/Scrum team (code reviews, planning, retrospectives)
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the team’s engineering culture
Key qualifications
- 5–7+ years of commercial experience with Python and Django
- Strong experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL required: schema design, writing and profiling complex SQL queries, performance optimization)
- Hands-on experience with task queues (RQ, Celery) and caching systems (Redis)
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and proficiency with development tools (Git, code review, issue trackers)
- Experience writing tests and covering business logic with unit and integration tests
- English level B1 (Intermediate) or higher
Nice to have:
- Experience with additional programming languages (Go, JavaScript/TypeScript)
- Experience with microservices architecture and service integrations (gRPC, protobuf, REST API, message brokers)
- Experience with asynchronous Python frameworks (FastAPI, aiohttp)
- Experience setting up CI/CD (GitLab CI, Tower, Docker, Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of web application security principles and practices (API protection, authentication/authorization, encryption, etc.)
