Who we need
Our Railway team is developing a product for selling railway tickets. We are looking for an experienced Senior Python Developer who is capable of independently designing and implementing complex features end-to-end — from collecting requirements to release.Job responsibilities
- Design and develop web services implementing the business logic for railway ticket purchasing for corporate clients;
- Integrate with internal company services and with external railway ticket suppliers’ APIs (to provide users with up-to-date ticket information and purchasing options);
- Refactor existing code to improve its quality, readability, and maintainability;
- Automate manual processes related to the support of transportation products;
- Participate in requirements analysis, writing technical documentation, and design documents.
Key qualifications
- Senior Developer-level experience and a proven ability to independently lead features through the entire lifecycle — from requirements gathering to release (mandatory!);
- Excellent skills in Python, experience with Django and FastAPI frameworks;
- Practical experience working with PostgreSQL and Redis;
- Confident understanding of AsyncIO: working with coroutines, performing parallel tasks, handling events, and organizing asynchronous network operations;
- Strong grasp of OOP concepts and the ability to apply object-oriented principles in practice;
- Experience designing APIs and writing OpenAPI (Swagger) specifications;
- Proficiency with Docker and Gitlab CI;
- Comfort working in the command line: handling files and directories, log search, SSH connections;
- Skill in writing clear, structured technical documentation;
- Experience in testing practices: unit tests, using frameworks such as Pytest or Unittest;
- English proficiency at B1 level or higher (including spoken English).
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Go;
- Skills in writing design documentation (design docs);
- Experience in system analysis (event storming, architecture diagrams, etc.).
