Emerging Travel Group (ETG) is seeking a strong leader to join its executive team as Chief Operating Officer. The person will be a trusted partner to the executive group and help develop the company’s operations to facilitate global growth and development.
ETG is a profitable fast-growing online travel technology company that operates in business-to-customer (B2C), business-to-agency (B2A), and Corporate Travel Management (CTM) segments. Our brands RateHawk, Roundtrip, ZenHotels, and Ostrovok, help customers manage all aspects of their travel needs.
ETG employs more than 2000 employees across Europe, CIS, MENA, North, and South America in roles ranging from product and business development to specialized multilingual customer support for all our customers, whether they are trade partners or individuals.

Job Responsibilities

Company’s Operating Cadence Development:

  • Own ETG’s operating cadence: demo week, all-hands, retros, and other actions
  • Quarterback the corporate strategic planning process – providing thought leadership, quantitative and qualitative analysis, recommendations, and materials preparation
  • Develop quarterly and annual goal-setting efforts and long-term operating plans that involve wider teams
  • Improve communication and collaboration to improve alignment between the teams
  • Work together with the CEO, other executives, and team leaders to conduct regular strategic and tactical review sessions and multidisciplinary dive-ins

Executive Team Operations:

  • Help build effective interaction between executives, including performing check-ins and ensuring that deadlines are met, and priorities are followed through
  • Assist the team to problem solve, exercise sound judgment, and to develop processes for efficiency and accountability

Critical Project Management:

  • Work to ensure the successful launch of new multi-disciplinary initiatives within ETG and effectively pass them off to other departments as required
  • Personally manage special projects on behalf of the CEO (M&A, fundraising)
  • Work to bring forward priorities identified by the CEO and ensure completion and alignment with other teams


Experience Working in a High-pressure Environment:
  • 5+ years of leadership roles in technology companies in finance and operations
  • 3+ years of Investment banking, and strategic consulting
  • Positive and professional attitude, ability to work as a team player under pressure
  • Attention to detail; high-level of accountability for the quality of projects
  • Ability to maintain good judgment, time-manage, and multi-task in a demanding and fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to learn new skills and concepts quickly
  • Able and willing to travel and work outside regular business hours

  • Operates effectively in ambiguity
  • Develops a core understanding of the company’s underlying drivers for success
  • Optimistic in driving towards opportunities and realistic in identifying challenges

Strong Interpersonal, Communication, and Presentation Skills:
  • Fluent English: can comfortably present a strategy to foreign partners and respond to questions. Can comfortably interact with partners in various intl markets
  • Excellent written communication skills in English and Russian
  • Demonstrable ability to distill complex concepts from many sources into a simple, high-impact communication medium (e.g., emails, presentations, papers)
  • Familiarity with data presented at the expert level
Strong Technical Experience:
  • Basic understanding of finance, accounting, and financial modeling
  • Basic knowledge of product and technology processes
