Network Engineer

We are looking for Senior Network Engineer to our IT Operations Team, Engineering Department. On this position you will have the opportunity to take part in the restructuring of the company's network architecture.

Job Responsibilities

Developing the company's network infrastructure architecture (both global and at the office or data center level);
Supporting geographically distributed network infrastructure;
Interacting with service providers that provide hosting services and connectivity between data centers;
Monitoring, diagnosing, and resolving network issues in a timely manner;
Configuring Juniper and Cisco networking equipment;
Setting up firewalls and VPNs;
Documenting network infrastructure using Confluence, NetBox, and Visio.

Key Qualifications

Expert experience with networking technologies for 5+ years;
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP stack and OSI model;
Experience in Linux system administration (Ubuntu, Debian);
Experience configuring Cisco and Juniper networking equipment (Ethernet switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi access points, and Wi-Fi controllers);
Understanding of networking subsystems in Linux and ability to optimize the OS for high network loads;
Experience with monitoring systems (Zabbix, Grafana);
Knowledge of common network diagnostic tools;
Knowledge of network packet structure, packet filtering (iptables, nftables), and sniffers (tcpdump, Wireshark);
Experience with autonomous systems and border routers;
Knowledge of OSPF and BGP routing protocols;
Knowledge of basic switching functionality in networking equipment;
Knowledge of typical network security requirements;
Experience with common VPN types (IPsec Site-to-Site, Wireguard, OpenVPN, L2TP, SSTP);
Proficiency in English (B1+).

Preferred:

Experience with Huawei and MikroTik networking equipment;
Experience with RIPE;
Certifications from Juniper, Huawei, and Cisco vendors;
Experience in KVM virtual infrastructure administration;
Experience in AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure administration;
Ability to automate routine tasks and write scripts (Python, Ansible);
Hands-on experience.
